On the eve of the feast of the finding of the relics of St. Seraphim, the Wonderworker of Sarov, the traditional Belogorsky procession ended at the walls of the Belogorsky St. Nicholas Monastery, which was held with the blessing of Metropolitan Ignatius of Perm and Kungur.
A prayer service was held on the square in front of the Holy Cross Cathedral of the monastery on the occasion of the arrival of the participants of the prayer service, who traveled for six days from Perm to Mount Athos in the Urals.
The moleben was performed by the acting vicar of the monastery, Archimandrite Joasaph (Shtanko), co-served by the confessor of the procession of the rector of the church of the Prophet Elijah in the village of Yug, Archpriest Peter Shoshin, the abbots and clerics of the churches of the Perm diocese, and the brethren of the Belogorsky Monastery in holy orders.
On August 1, the participants of the procession prayed for the Divine Liturgy in the skete of the Belogorsky Monastery.

The calling of the future Primate to episcopal ministry was formally established by a resolution of the Holy Synod in early March 1976; on the eve of the consecration, the rite of nomination took place, and on March 14—on the Sunday of the Triumph of Orthodoxy—at the Holy Trinity Cathedral of the Alexander Nevsky Lavra, Archimandrite Kirill (Gundyaev), rector of the Leningrad theological schools, was consecrated Bishop of Vyborg.

Exactly 50 years ago, on March 13, 1976, at the Church of the Holy Apostle and Evangelist John the Theologian at the Leningrad Theological Academy, the rite of nomination took place; and on the following day, March 14, the First Sunday of Great Lent, the Feast of the Triumph of Orthodoxy, during the Divine Liturgy at the Holy Trinity Cathedral of the Alexander Nevsky Lavra in Leningrad, the episcopal consecration of Archimandrite Kirill — the future Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus’ — was performed. The service was presided over by the ever-memorable Metropolitan Nikodim (Rotov), whom His Holiness Patriarch Kirill calls his spiritual mentor and teacher.
