On the memorial day of Equal-to-the-Apostles Grand Duke Vladimir, July 28, 2026, the day of the church-state feast of the Baptism of Russia, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Patriarchal Assumption Cathedral of the Moscow Kremlin.
An ark containing a fragment of the relics of Equal-to-the-Apostles Grand Duke Vladimir was brought from the Cathedral of Christ the Savior to the Assumption Cathedral. The shrine was installed in the cathedral to the right of the Royal Gates. 
The Council of Bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church, held on June 24-29, 2008, decided to commemorate the Baptism of Rus on the memorial day of Equal-to-the-Apostles Prince Vladimir on July 15/28 "to perform divine services according to the statute of the great feast, paying due honor to the baptist of Rus."
Before the service began, His Holiness venerated the ark containing a fragment of the relics of Equal-to-the-Apostles Grand Duke Vladimir.
The service was attended by bishops and clergy of the Antiochian Orthodox Church: Metropolitan Niphon of Philippopolis, representative of the Patriarch of Antioch and All the East to the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia; Metropolitan Anthony of Zahle and Baalbek; Archimandrite Jeremiah (Azzam), cleric of the Archdiocese of Zahle; Associate professor of the Theological Institute. St. John of Damascus University of Balamand, Archimandrite Chrysostom (El Mesherki); students of Balamand University, Priest Silouan Jbara, Priest Athanasius Mahul and Hierodeacon Arseny (Kussa).
During the Liturgy, abbesses, monks and nuns of Stavropol monasteries, soldiers of the Presidential Regiment, Cossacks of the Central Cossack Army, members of the Patriarchal Volunteers movement, parishioners of Moscow churches, and pilgrims prayed.
A number of prayer requests and exclamations were delivered in Arabic.
At a special litany, petitions were offered for the now namesake President of Russia, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin.
At the end of the divine service, His Holiness addressed the faithful with a Primatial address.
According to tradition, after the Divine Liturgy, a procession from the Assumption Cathedral to the monument to Equal-to-the-Apostles Grand Duke Vladimir and a solemn prayer service took place on Borovitskaya Square. The ark with a fragment of the relics of St. Prince Vladimir was carried away in a procession to Borovitskaya Square and after the prayer service, worshippers were given access to it.
