The event took place on June 24 on the territory of the Training Center, where military rescuers and divers for the Navy are trained. The oath of allegiance to the Motherland was given by the pupils of the Military Training Center named after the Hero of Russia, Captain 1st Rank A.V. Voskresensky.
Archpriest Stefan Slomchinsky, dean of the Chersonesos Church district, became the guest of honor at the celebration. Archpriest Stefan addressed the young people with a laconic but weighty word. The priest drew a parallel between each cadet and the "drop" that makes up the endless sea of naval brotherhood. Father Stefan noted that their future profession is far from ordinary work — it is the ability to be responsible for a colleague even at great depths, and a true specialist in underwater work, like a true warrior, must have strong faith and unshakeable perseverance.
At the end of the official part, a prayer service was served, and the recruits were sprinkled with holy water. In the near future, the cadets will begin intensive diving training under the guidance of experienced mentors in order to soon get into service and multiply the valiant traditions of the Black Sea Fleet.
