On July 5, the parents of the fallen soldiers who participated in a special military operation met at the Museum of Russian Antiquities at the Church of the Nativity of the Lord in Obninsk. The event was attended by representatives of the Obninsk City Administration, clergy and the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation.
The main topic of the meeting was the further interaction of the Obninsk Administration with the families of the fallen defenders of the Fatherland. Parents had the opportunity to ask their questions and discuss possible support measures.

Special attention was paid at the meeting to preserving the historical memory of the exploits of the Obninsk defenders. Marina Vladimirovna Belyaeva, a researcher at the Museum of the History of the City of Obninsk and a journalist for the NG-Region publication, spoke about her professional activities. Marina Vladimirovna is actively engaged in collecting materials about the participation of Obninsk residents in the SVO. 
On behalf of the clergy, the meeting was attended by Priest Igor Gornya, Assistant Dean for Religious Education.
The meeting at the Museum of Russian Antiquity was an important step in strengthening ties between the government, public organizations and the families of the fallen defenders.
