Nikea Publishing House has released a book by the chairman of the Synodal Department for Prison Ministry, Priest Kirill Markovsky, "The Shepherd in Prison. To help the prison priest."
The publication examines topics such as the importance of prison pastoral experience for a priest, the specifics of a pastor's work in pre-trial detention and correctional institutions, and the content of conversations with suspects, defendants, and convicts. In addition, the issues of spiritual activity in places of detention, pastoral work with employees of the penitentiary system, and the safety of prison pastors in places of forced detention are being dealt with.
