On September 2, 2026, the stay of the right hand of St. Spyridon of Trimifunt on Pskov land ended.
The Ark was brought to Pskov on August 31. The solemn reception of the relics at the gates of the Pskov Kremlin, a procession and a festive prayer service in the Holy Trinity Cathedral of Pskov were led by Metropolitan Matthew of Pskov and Porkhovsky.
On the night of August 31 to September 1, Vladyka Matthew celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Pskov.
During the Liturgy, the abbesses of the nunneries with their sisters, parishioners of the churches of the Pskov Archdiocese and pilgrims prayed.
At the end of the Liturgy, Saint Spyridon was glorified in front of the ark with his venerable relics.
Metropolitan Matthew then addressed the faithful with an archpastoral address.
On September 2, the Divine Liturgy at the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Pskov was led by Bishop Barnabas of Velikiye Luki and Nevelsky.
At the end of the Liturgy, Bishop Barnabas addressed the participants of the divine service with a welcoming speech.
Bishop Barnabas performed a prayer service in front of the relics of St. Spyridon of Trimifunt before departure, co-served by the clergy of the Pskov Archdiocese. After the prayer service, the clergy and faithful escorted the ark with the right hand of St. Spyridon to the Metropolitan of Smolensk.
During the stay of St. Spyridon's relics in the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Pskov, 20,000 believers worshiped the shrine.
