On the day of commemoration of the transfer of the relics of the Holy Prince Alexander Nevsky, on September 12, 2025, a prayer service was held at the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord in the village of Losevo, Kimry deanery, to the blessed Prince and Holy Martyr Nikolai Morkovin, who served in this church from 1917 to 1929 and died a martyr during the years of persecution.
The divine service was led by the dean of the Kimry church district, Archpriest Evgeny Morkovin, who is the great-grandson of the Holy Martyr Nicholas Morkovin. He was co-served by Archpriest Mikhail Bakun, rector of the Church of the Holy Life-Giving Trinity in the village of Maloe Vasilevo.
The service was prayerfully attended by members of the Tabor Orthodox Youth Club, who had cleaned the church a week earlier.
In the evening of the same day, on the banks of the Medveditsa River, the participants of the Tabor IPC, led by Makariy Kirillov, Assistant dean for Youth Ministry, organized a one-day hike, which was attended by young people from the Kashinsky deanery, led by Priest Alexander Rychkov, as well as guests from Moscow from the parish of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Izmailovo.
The campfire fellowship was dedicated to the memory of the New Martyrs and confessors of the Russian Church. Priest Alexander Rychkov distributed commemorative booklets about the Holy Martyr Nikolai Morkovin to all participants. The confessor of the MPK Tabor, Archpriest Vladimir Kirillov, rector of the church in honor of the Prophet John the Baptist in the city of Kimry, stressed the importance of understanding that the martyrdom was not limited only to death, but the whole life of a witness of Christ in the era of repression was a martyrdom.
During the conversation, the participants shared their thoughts on the future of the Tabor Orthodox Youth Club, discussing plans for new trips, pilgrimages to significant historical and spiritual sites in Russia, as well as organizing various events in their hometowns. By tradition, the evening ended with singing songs around the campfire.
