With the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, the Patriarchal Humanitarian Mission purchased three Lada Largus passenger cars and two Gazelles for cargo and passengers and sent them to the centers for assistance to civilians in the military conflict zone.
Passenger cars were transferred to provide targeted assistance in Skadovsk (Kherson region), Tokmak (Zaporizhia region), Donetsk and Gorlovka (DPR). They are used to deliver food packages, basic necessities and medicines to lonely people with limited mobility who are unable to walk to the help center.
"Thanks to the large capacity of the car, we now have the opportunity to take volunteers and nurses to several addresses in one route, where they help the seriously ill and disabled in everyday life and care," said Eva Artyushkova, head of the Skadovsk assistance center. — We and our wards are immensely grateful to His Holiness the Patriarch. Now we manage to help more people every day and have the opportunity to quickly travel to addresses, including outside the city."
Two Gazelles were handed over to the repair teams of the Patriarchal Humanitarian Mission, which are restoring private homes in Donetsk and Horlivka for the transportation of building materials and the daily delivery of construction volunteers to the facilities.
Archpriest Mikhail Potokin, Chairman of the Synodal Department for Church Charity and Social Service, and Deacon Igor Kulikov, Director of the Patriarchal Humanitarian Mission, performed the rite of their consecration before sending the vehicles to the SVR area.
