At Global Orthodox, we have been keeping close tabs on the attacks perpetrated on the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) by the globalist backed and satanically inspired regime of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, how he has stripped the citizenship of clerics, and how Ukrainian security services have ransacked churches, monasteries, and private homes of priests, sometimes mercilessly beating both clerics and lay believers in the process. We have reported how Russian Orthodox bishops have spoken before the UN to try to intercede for their Christian brethren and call world attention to the injustices being perpetrated by the Ukrainian government.

And now we must report sadly that in the year 2022, the Ukrainian government ruthlessly allowed the schismatic church, which is government backed, to seize 129 churches in Ukraine. This news from Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate's Department for External Church Relations. He was speaking before the UN Security Council.

He also spoke of arrests of believes and clergy; arrests, he noted, followed by violations of the law, falsification of documents, and beatings of both believers and clergy.

Again sadly, reports of beatings are nothing new, and even triggered Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova to label the actions “satanism.”

One must wonder, if this is merely a conflict of military might and political ambitions, why stoop to attacking the Church? It is because the Ukrainian regime and its satanic globalist supporters know full well the strength of the People of the Rus’ proceeds from their shared baptism. It is the Orthodox Faith that has given the people the strength to endure many great hardships, and this is such a self-apparent thing, that even that great enemy of God Josef Stalin, eased his persecution of the Church during the Nazi invasion to give the people spiritual strength to resist the Nazi invader.

At the end of the day, this is not really a war against Russia as such; it is, simply put, a war against Christianity itself by anti-Christian, globalist forces. Zelensky and his regime, who it is clear are not Christians, are mere puppets, making war using the idol of National Security as their excuse, much as America has done in the past, and especially so since 9-11.

The anti-Christian nature of the Zelensky regime can been seen from its toleration of Nazi symbology among its forces, and in its nationalist propaganda, where at one time a young actress in national costume held a mock “severed head” of a Russian soldier and called on pagan gods to come to the rescue of Ukraine, and in another video a man appeared to cook and eat meat off of the bone of a dead Russian soldier. And why the sudden spread of gay propaganda also in Ukraine? These are not the actions and beliefs of a Christian nation engaged in a just war. Meanwhile, millions of ordinary Ukrainians are vilified and shamelessly attacked by their own government for clinging to the Faith. Ukraine is the crucible of our times. If the Forces of Light fail here, they may not get another chance elsewhere.
